I tell ya everyyear when I hear all of the stories abut the heat in the early season I'm glad that WV doesn't open until Oct. 14. Good Luck guys and let's OWN SOME BONE!!!

Wont it be great to win both the Logo contest as well as this one, but those guys in second look a little spooky with their logo.
Got to scout over the weekend, only saw two animals but lots of tracks and can see where they have been feeding hard on the beans. With them hitting the beans that hard I would think we could hear them on bed...Ha ha!!

one more weekend to go. the tempature has droped alot in the last week. hopefully it will be a nice cold day on the first day of the hunt. seen a lot of big deer recently and cant wait to let the air out of one.

Went out Sat. and saw a spike and a 4 pt. Had them both at 10 yards. Just not what Im looking for, let them go so they could grow. Exiting the woods I found 2 very fresh scrapes and a big rub. I dont think either one of those bucks made this kind of rub. Saw a big doe Sat. evening but she never came in range. My hunting buddy killed a good doe that evening though and made a real good shot. It was only his 3rd deer ever so I was happy for him.

Sounds good backstrap. I saw 2 deer, one with a huge body but couldn't get them to step out into a shooting lane. They were only about 35 yards but with a very thick canopy in front of me, I couldn't make out the sex real good. I never saw any rack but based on the body size of the bigger deer, it could of very well been a nice buck.
