Good luck to everyone, I have sat for two hunts now and seen none. I did have something behind me yesterday, never saw it though. Maybe tomorrow!!!!! On my cameras there were only does and yearlings.
Hunt 'em hard!!

Hey guys, just got back from the weekend hunt. Saw some deer had a little forky almost come in range but he dissappeared behind a laydown and I never saw him. This morning I had a big doe about 15 yds behind my tree but I couldn't get an angle for a shot then she winded me(straight down wind) and took off. No blowing or tail though so I don't she spooked too bad. All in all in wasn't too bad for as hot as it was.

Fun weekend,HOT!!!!
Sat . morning got into my stand and spooked a giant bird(owl, turkey?) that was in my tree. About 1/2 hr after sunrise all heck breaks loose as a dozen or so turkeys fly down off their roosts all around me !First time that's ever happened. HOT quit hunting at10 soaked and sweaty
Sat eve. saw 8-9 deer not sure if any were bucks, one doe came on my off side and must have seen me turn my head and was staring at me. She worked her way around down wind of me turned and ran, didn't snort either and I'll only get a chance to go back in two weeks hopefully they'll forget.Another doe came right into my shooting lane and the wind was right (iy had been blowing from random directions all day) I needed her to take one more step to clear a tree she does and I begin to draw. This obviously upset the bird or squirell above me and the deer turns and stares right at me. I guess I could have tried the shot but she was alert and not a youngster I let her walk catiuosly away. I couldn't help but noticing that my camo pattern (predator evolution) seemed very bright after sunset in the twilight. Almost could have used a little blobbing out at that time. I'll have to get together with a friend and see how the patterns look in the semi-darkness.
Sun morn, hunted for 2 hrs and sweat a lot. You can't be scent free andperspire at the same time! Can't wait till it gets colder!
