Hey guys, just got in from doing some glassing. Saw 10 bucks. Two nice 130 class stepped out and were pushing some smaller bucks around. Also saw 5 big toms. I'm pretty excited right now to say the least. Now if the darn critters don't go nocturnal on me I might have a chance. Its some public ground I hunt so I'll probably have to wait til the rut to get a crack at them. Good thing is that it's a bowhunting only area and the MO rut takes place during gun season, so I'll probably be out there by myself. Cant wait...two weeks from right now, I'll be walkng in from my first hunt of the season, hopefully dragging a nice buck behind me.

Enough rambling, can you tell I'm excited?

Two weeks from sat my Wi season opens. Going up there to see how my food plot is coming along. Planted it 3 weeks ago and they've had plenty of rain. It's a small plot so I hope it hasn't been eaten before it takes off. It's been a rather wet summer so there is plenty of green around anyways! I' counting down the days!

Third year. My buddy got me into hunting a few years ago and I got hooked in a big way. I due to put it together this year. I saw some nice deer last year that wouldn't come within 50 yds. I've done my homework this year so with some luck I'll put one on the ground. As you read in my earlier post, I saw 10 bucks that I would gladly take.

Hey MO.
I know everyone WANTS to kill a big buck, but when you're going for your first, a legal buck will always do. It never hurts to put a notch in the belt or bow as it is, but most of us that hunt for big bucks sort of evolved to that point. My fiancee is going for her first and though she would love to kill a big boy, she is going to take the first shot that's presented.....I told her she needs to get some blood on her hands before she's ready for the major league. Whatever you decide to do with your season, good luck and stay safe.
