Hey team, whats new and exciting? I havent been out as much as i would have like to, but the weather here is miserable. The good news is i had a nice deer come under my stand last sat, thought it was an 8 point, but it turned out he was a really wide 6 pt. Saw the same deer on wednesday night. Great looking deer, i thought he was an 8 point cause he has no brow tines. Anyhow, it seems like he has moved into this one thicket to bed, so hopefully this weekend i will have a crack at him. Other than that i havent been seeing any other bucks. We will see, going to give it a shot this afternoon and then hunt all day tomorrow. Maybe today is the day. How are you all making out? Any one got any good encounters?

well Team we got a start not a very big start but it is a start. only 20 3/8 like the rules say you must enter your first buck so this is what we got.

congrats on the kill... its gun season now so ill be doing that for 2 more weeks then back to archery for a month

Hey team, hows everyone making out? I personally havent been hunting all that much lately, but i will be starting up again. Going to a friends farm in Maryland tomorrow to hunt through the weekend. He has been seeing a number of deer, so im keeping my fingers crossed.

Good going PJ, at least we didn't get skunked.
I did manage to get a small 5x5 the last week of hunting season, but I had to use the rifle.[:o] I did have two shots that I did blow.It was a rough season dealing with snow and ice. Cold weather wasn't too bad but I did freeze my arse off many a time. Rolled my truck off a crevise and landed upside down and had to hiked about six miles down the mountain. I came out of that with a jambed right shoulder and busted ribs.
It was a busy season as the elk hunting would get in the way with my deer hunting and deer hunting gets in the way of my elk hunting and firewood chores would get in the way of both as would plowing the drive too.
I guess everyone esles season sucked too or this wouldn'tbe such of a sleeper thread. It would be nice too hear from everyone to at least let us know how your season went orat least let us know if you jumped ship or if a bear et you.
Just wait till next year.;)

Hi all, Happy new years! Hope everyone had a happy holiday season and a great new years. I havent been hunting much, just got back from florida sailfishing for 10 days, had a blast. Im off to Texas this Thursday. Ill be hunting 3 days with the bow, so hopefully i will have a story and some pictures to show when i return. My trip to maryland was rather uneventful. Did see some does and a nice 6 point which will be a bruiser if he makes it another year, but that was about it. Other than Texas, my buddy just got access to the property where he has been working the last few months. No one works there and he sees bucks every single day. He hunted it once before the holidays and saw 12 different bucks, so come the end of next week, the 2 of us will be in there. Me very uneventful season isnt over yet, hopefully i can put some bone on the ground still. The season ends here in the beginning of February.

Hell, I thought everyone was awol, its good we got a survivor nj. My season is over but I;m still planning. Good luck and keep us posted, I guess everyone esle got et up by a dang ole bare.

Well guys, season is over for me, ended up not getting the buck that i was after, but had some good hunts and some not so good hunts but there is always next year.
