FL congrats on the nice buck looks like he has some good character to him. on his right side the way the main beam kicks out or maybe it is just the way it is laying on the ground.

Excellent Gerry!

I've been trying my best to get a fall turkey and have been spending time with Casey in the woods - only been in the stand with my bow once (opening day doe). Fear not, I will be out there soon...possibly tomorrow morning. It's raining cats and dogs here two days straight.

Nice buck - don't apologize for any animal, that's a fine buck. Maybe you can give us the full story?

thanks JJ

I shot this one right at last light I was just about to climb out of my stand and when I looked into the clearing I actually seen a doe so I took a shot at her just to put some meat in the freezer and I missed, well when I looked behind here about 10yds I seen a little buck standing there and he took off with her. So I waited out my time and could barely see my pins and had about two minutes of hunting left when this one walked in I shot the first time missed then he walked up about 20ft shot again and he dropped instantly. I broke his spine. I called by buddy who was hunting with me and told him to come down with an arrow ready because I knew this deer wasn't dead and the way he was thrashing around still I wasn't taking an antler to the leg so I had him finish him off for me seems how I was out of arrows. Not sure exactly how much he weighed but I am guessing dresses he weighed in at about 140pds.

Hope to get out this week and get another one who knows I have to spend some time sighting in my new bow also I just bought a new hoyt trykon last night got a great deal on it fully loaded drop away rest lighted fiber sights, quiver, and bow for 720 couldn't pass that up. But good luck to all of you!!!!

Palmergt, Great buck and thanks for breaking the ice for us. I'm not familiar with your nebraska deer but that would be a real decent deer for most pennsylvania hunters. You sure had the luck with you last night, do you think your bow is shooting high? Thanks again for putting some points on the board for us. What do you guys think it will take to win this contest? A couple monster bucks, or the entire team entering bucks of all sizes? I wasn't in the contest last year so I'm not familiar with what Team 10 won with? I would assume if we could all enter deer of whatever size, we should have a good chance.

Yea. What he said.

Uh, why don't they keep a running tally of the team scores some place?

FOP

The deer that I shot is a descent deer for here in NE for the area thatI hunt but if you get to the south or west towards norht platte people would consider that a small buck. It is definetly not a wall hanger or a nebraska citation by any means but it is the biggest buck that I have ever shot and the get bigger every time so hopefully soon I will have my wallhanger!!!
