Congratulations dmax4me! It's never too late, until the season rolls out.
Your boy looks like he is ready to go with you at anytime...

congrats dmax. thats a nice on for sure. i like the odd racked bucks.

i've went out one time since i missed the big one and we did see him again, but couldn't get him to co-operate. he busted out of our drive before it even began, but we did get to see that he's still in the area. he'll make an even nicer trophy for next season im sure.

Thanks guys. He's a trophy to me in PA with the bow. He's not big enough to be a mounter so I think I'm going to have it done european style and put it on one of those end table style display stands. It will be a nice talking piece. Glad to hear you guys are still seeing those big ones. They seem to be all bunch up around here. When I shot this one he had 5 different 4 pointers with him.

well guys, i'm done for the year. We're out of hay, and I dont feel like unloading more, so I let the gate to the back of the ranch today (where i hunt), so the horses and donkeys can eat.

I'm done too. Late season was alright here in IL. We had unseasonably warm temps. Still saw a ton of deer, just couldn't get anything close enough. Saw 5 shooters, largest was a 160+ 8pt on the last evening. I have some footage of him sparring with a smaller 8 pt. Really neat to watch. Closest he got was 125 yards. Ended the year with 4 does on the ground. Never had a shot at a true shooter buck. Had a couple border line ones, but they be great deer next year.

The final three days were rain-filled with mild weather. The big boy and two does hung out above my tree stand but could never draw back on him again. Shed Hunting is next...
