Hey Rob,

Out of curiosity, how many contestants did we have last year, 200ish? I just see we have quite a few signing up in a short period of time. Should be a great turnout...and thanks.

More than that, we're a third there this year so far with 100...last year we had 270 and then 30 alternates for 300, 30 teams of 10 and a few left out...

I don't think there are any states before the 1st unless it's the weekend encompassing the 1st...either way, if a person tags a buck legally in a state prior to the 1st, the team that gets that person has a nice start...

Wow, that has to be hot that time of year...if someone tags a buck prior to team pics they will still count their animal and what ever team they are drawn for has a great start. That seems fair...

There are a couple states that I have heard of that open before September first, although i don't recall which ones at the moment.

Rob, I'll do a little digging for you and see what I can come up with.

I believe Wyoming and S. Carolina both open before 9/1. I haven't confirmed that, but I believe that's right.

Well anyway, we'll still pick teams Sept 1st and if someone tags out, good for the team that gets them. It'll set the bar at the starting gate.
