thats cool if we do get a 30-30 marlin, i have one that my aunt gave me. looks almost like that. when is the end of the contest? is it after all the seasons are over with or just a random date?

Just kidding about the Marlin :D:D:DThis contest is all about bragging rights.

Don't count Strut out. His son got him a Matthews Bow for Christmas and MO has 2 weeks of bow hunting left. Strut is born deer hunter ...It aint over till it's over.

I could'nt beleive it, after shooting and old Jennings super TII for 25 plus years its like going from a bicycle to a cadillac. No Doubt I have the best wife and son in the world. Bow , Matthews case, quiver, sights, arrow rest, completely set up, Am I a lucky man or what. Now if these Mo deer would just move a little bit.

I 'm happy for ya Randy. Don't count me totally out either. Been doing some scouting in the swamp and found some good signs. I set my stand deep into the swamp today. 9 more days of hunting.

Anyone still hunting? Im heading to Indiana tonight to hunt all dayTuesday with the guy I hunt withon out of the state trips. Deer are hitting the corn fields like crazy. He killed abig 13 point last week.


I can only dream about getting a shot at something like that. I'll be back here in KY to 'guide' a kid for the youth hunt.

Yeah...I've got 8 days left. I understand if our 2nd deer scores higher than the first that we can have it changed. I got that info straight from the boss man himself. Get a monster buck PSE and Strut ...hope ya stick one for the team. I've moved my stand to a deep open spot in the middle of a Florida Swamp. My Summit is sitting in a large oak tree. My son is going to the army today and that is why I'm hree instead of my comfee Summit.;)

The only buck I saw yesterday was a 3 point. I shot a 2 1/2 year old doe for meat and shot a big tom. He bleed for 150 yards and I lost it at the river. He had to of died and fell in & drifted down current. Really bumbed plus I got the shot on camera. Back in IN tom. might settle on something smaller.

Sorry to hear that PSE. I heard hogs today but did not see any.they were busting up brush about 70 yds away ..and then a dead silence.I'll be out tomorrow.
