Sorry guys, I've been off for 4 weeks chasing Elk here in Utah. I'm a mule deer hunter (hope that doesn't mess it all up), but my season runs until Dec. I have some great ground and chase some good mulies that will still score very well with the scoring system. Now that my elk hunts are over, I will focus on deer and let you know how it goes. I'll be around alot more now and be more vocal in the forum! :D

Talk about some luck. I was shooting tonight and after the first shoot, all my arrows went high. I was thinking what the he!! is going on here! I looked over the bow to find that my rest was raising up after each shot. So now do I just push the rest down after each shot or go get a new rest?

p.s. sorry about all the icons below, my son is on a rifle team with my icon and they needed logos, so I made some for them to vote on. They should be off by Saturday.

Well..Last night at about 7:15 I got my doe I had been wanting just to get the "kill" part out of the way, now i can start looking more for the big one! Happy to get the freezer full this early in the season! When does everyones season start?

Well... its finallyhere. I hunted property #2 this morning and it was fairly uneventful.4 does showed up around 7 am and I was not able to draw without being busted. Theyhung around the area for maybe 45 minutes and eventually made their way out.Usually another group will makethere way through around 8:30but they never showed up. A neighbor guy saida dog from a neighboring property had been running my parcel for the last several weeks and he noticed a decline the number of deer thatheis used to seeing. He had gone over to the dog owners and they saidthey hadto have their electric fence repaired, so hopefully thing will rebound and thedeer will return. I think I'm going to stay out of there until late octoberand hopefully things will improve.

Well all my first day wasn't any better. I was trying out a new spot, a friend of mine killed a nice 9 point out of it a year ago. Anyway he told me how to get there and to follow the cat eyes to the stand. Unfortunately somebody took the cat eyes out. I spent about 2 hours wondering around in the dark trying to find the stand. Eventually as light was breaking I found the stand. As I walked up over the hill to it, I chased away a couple of deer. Didn't know what they were. So I climbed the stand and didn't see a thing all morning.

Not used to going to the 2nd page for our forum.

Got a 164" last year..hopefully to do better this year!! I dont think I will ever top that deer though!
