Well guys I am on the board!! I need to get my pics developed and score him still but he is a bruiser I can tell you that. He is a big 5x5 with tons of mass. I can't wait for the pics to show you all! I was in my ameristep brickhouse blind between a slough and an alfalfa field the big boy came by me and I took the shot. He didnt go 50 yards before falling!! I am pumped! I will let you know as soon as the pics are developed and I have him scored.

Awesome!!! I can't wait to see the pix!!

I saw the big boy I'm after this morning but he was 50 yards away in a standing corn field and I couldn't get a shot. I grunted him in but when he got close a button buck jumped up and he must've thought he was the deer he heard grunting b/c he took off chasing him in the corn. Then on my way out of the stand this morning I saw the big guy I got close to on Thurs morning. He's a basic 8 but he's every bit of 20" wide. I was gonna go out after him tonight but the wind is howling and it's about to start raining. I decided to take the night off, wash all my gear, and be ready for the am hunt tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Congrats Micdundee on your deer. Hope we all do as well. HNI go get the big boy. I saw 14 Saturday morning, but the bucks seemed to stay about 50 yards out, and of course there was a limb in the way, doesn't that always happen. But it was notlarge, only about 90 inches or so. Now its hot, but at least we got some rain. I get to hunt the whole week of Thanksgiving so maybe I can get some inches for us. Good Luck everyone.

No way! Congratulations Mic, that is a beaut!!..and with traditional gear to boot. Very impressive. This, along with B & C's, if he entered it, should put us at or over the top with some strong hopefuls still yet to fill a tag!

Ok, I partially take back my earlier comment. The last I looked the leading team was in the 400s. Now I look again and they are in the 700s. Nobody else is even close.....not yet at least.
