I don't even know if he has 10" of horn. LOL. Well I have to pick up my bow tonight from the shop....new string, speed lizard, arrow's, and broadhead's for the upcoming season.

Maybe I'll get a pic and post it later tonight....

Picked up a new Copper John release. Eagle series release that is a combination trigger/back tension release. Show a few times today with it at Bass Pro and liked the feel. So I picked it up to replace the Scott Mongoose I lost last season. We'll see how it feels tomorrow when I put some arrow's into the old Wally World deer in the backyard.

Let us know how you like that back tension release. I was thinking about getting one at one time but they seem fairly dangerous. Curious to see how it works for you.

I got out today and shot with the new release....probaly 30 arrows or so in the span of a hour or more. I have to say it does take some getting used to, but it didn't take long to master using this style release. It's not all back tension, as there is a triggering device where your middle finger rests on the release. It's kinda tricky learning to get to full draw with out letting the arrow go, but it only took me a minute to get the proper draw technique down. With this release you get to full draw and rest your hand around the release....you pick your spot on the target and slowly start to ball up a fist around the release and before you know it bam! The arrow is flying towards the target.

This type of release eliminates any flinch or hesitation before the shot, and improved my groups alittle. So it has it's advantages. But getting used to this style release is challenging...but by seasons open I expect it will be second nature to draw, take aim, and release with no problems. Definetly pleased with the new release to this point....it's differnt then the caliper style trigger releases I have always shot...but I'm going to give this release a chance.
