RE: Official Team "Fearsome 15" (15) Thread

I shot a doe and a big tom yesterday in KY with bow. I reamed the doe and she went 50 yards, then 8 toms came in and I shot one through the wing butt at 22 yards. Blood trail for 150 yards and got to the river and didnt find another drop. I think he fell in and drifted down stream. really bumbed to kill the best turkey Ive ever seen and not recover him. I'll be in IN tom. with a buck tag & 2 doe tags, need to get something in range. Fingers are crossed!

RE: Official Team "Fearsome 15" (15) Thread

i went back over to pike co, il and didnt hardly see anything. first evening i saw a 160" with a basket rack, spike, and doe, all spooked out of someone elses woods. then 30 sec. later 2 does spooked out of the same place, all of them running within 75 yds, and the does within 10 but running to fast. the next moring and night i saw nothing but about 20 squirrels. then thursday morning i saw 5 does, a 50 lb fawn at 15 yds, easy shot passed up, then another doe at 80 yds, then big doe and 2 fawns at 15 yds with way too much brush to shoot through. otherwise i would of shot the big doe. then thrusday night, the last night of my week hunt i saw nothing but squirrels. went with 3 does tags expecting to get 2-3 does and came back with nothing. and my buddy that went with me saw nothing while in the stand. my guess is that the deer over there are just too spooky to come out in the daylight, and just feed at night. hard telling but i was very diappointed with my results.
