I bear hunt and I really liked the meat. I t was different in texture and not greasy like I had heard. I liked it alot.I don't know what to compare it to so you could understand the difference. Btw , I am heading back to SCV this weekend so I hope I can get us on the scoreboard!

Passthrew..This will be my first year Bear hunting. I have always purchased a Bear stamp just in case, but I never actually set out with the sole intention of harvesting a bear. There are tons of bears in my new hunting area so I hope to bag my first. As far as the meat goes I have never tried it either and have also heard mixed opinions. My thoughts are if I cant stand the taste then there are plenty of people around here to donate the meat to.

Hi guys,
Just got home after spending several days out at my hunting property. Because I just recently purchused it there is a lot to get ready. Put in some stands and cleared some shooting lanes but still have about five more stands to put up. Got two stealth cams out and just bought two ot the Moultree digitals they sell at wallyworld tor 98 bucks. Will get them out next week some time. Neighbors are seeing a large buck (reportedly 24 inch spread) crossing the road into our property. We are setting our stands up along the field edges trying not to disturb the bedding areas. .........dabow

Well, I made another scouting trip out to my hunting spot again today and man am I getting aggrevated!! There is deer sign all over from past years, and there are some fresh dropping and beds but every travel route I try to set up a camera on is overun with bears!! I think they are causing the deer to constantly change thier route. On the positive side I still need to hang a stand in my honeyhole where the massive 8 point has been spotted several times this summer!! That may be my best bet on a dandy buck.

Hey guys, did you see my post last week about my first bow kill? 100lb. hog. I went out again today but didn't get a shot off. I heard some hogs but never saw them. A storm was rolling in so I headed for home. I tried to post a pic of me and the hog but I am a computer neanderthal and had no luck.I tried photobucket, still no luck. I will scream for help when I kill a buck! Someone please be ready with patient instruction. My lease is only 20min. from home and has lots of hogs so I'll be getting plenty of warm up time in before Oct. 1st. Don't worry, I'm staying away from my deer stands and blinds.
