RE: Browning A-bolt in a 243 or keep looking?
If I were you, Pea, I would get a .22-250 instead, or better yet, a .220 Swift, I think those are better varmit rounds.
I too, have no use for the 243, I have never owned, shot, or liked the .243 Win., it's just a catchy name to go along with "younggun".
I have a .308, but IMO, it's too big for varmits, great deer round,though.
I think the A-Bolt is a great gun, my dad has one in 7mm Rem Mag, but I still think you should get a .22-250 or .220 Swift, .243 is a tiny, yetdecent deer round.
