This last season was my 1st and I didn't jump into with the notion of taking a huge buck. I just wanted to put some meat in the cooler. But that doesnt mean I would shoot at anything that walked by. In fact, my 1st day out I saw at least 8-10 doe and did not take a shot. I could slap myself around a bit now...cause I didnt see that many for the rest of the season, but even as a newbie rack size is not whats important to me. I do think some people put too much emphasis on rack size.
