Could you guys explain your 10, 22 and 27 yard "Drills"? Do you have a good book on coaching you could recommend? I have never looked into getting a coach because I did not think I would ever get to that point. I never thought I would be getting a target bow set up and shooting targets keeping score and sucheither. What does a coach charge? Howwould I find one? Yellow pages? Just looking for a little help. Thanks to all who answer.
My 10 yard drills are basically scored vegas 450 games from a distance of only 10 yards. This basically allows you to build confidence in your hold so that you can have 100% confidence in aiming and executing, and no longer have to worry about holding steady. When you can learn to trust your float and know that a well executed shot will hit that X it will increase your performance as well as boost your confidence. Confidence is important because if you don't know whether you will hit that target you probably won't. When you know you are going to hit the X and you know that you are in control of it........your chances of hitting that X increase dramatically.
Believe it or not, the secret to shooting well for the average guy isn't a steady hand with no sight picture movement at full draw, it is in trusting the float and worrying about executing strong shots subconsiously while staring a hole through the X. Most people hold well enough to shoot good groups, it is the inconstencies we experience while trying to hold dead still when we begin to time the shot for a punch or driveby, etc and cause those flyers. It is the flyer shots that seperate the pros from the joes.........we all can shoot a good group about the same size though if you remove the flyers.
Some of the best reads I have learned on this stuffare by George Ryals. You can read a lot of that on the following links as well as some other good stuff that I find helpful.

If you are serious about finding a good coach I would look up a NAA or NFAA certified coach. If your serious about this I would be willing to help find a good reputable one in your area.
