You know I've never hunted bears before, but I know they are alot more aware and cautious than deer are. And I've sat over corn piles for deer untill the corn started germinating and growing stalks and never saw a deer. So I assume that bear baiting would be just as hard. And in thick country, it's about the only way to see any sizable number or bears.
