Lake Jax is actually quite nice if you can work around the weekend rush,or you can always find calm water on the restricted speed side of the lake. Personally I like fishing there on weekday evenings the best.
And if the bass thing doesn't work out to well I can show you a killer spot at the bottom of the spillway to catch all the carp you'd ever want to eat.
