RE: REMINGTON 710
I owned one in .270 and shot about 100 rounds through it. I shot a buck with it last year, and my son shot his doe with it this year, so the gun is capable of putting meat on the table. With that said though, with only 100 rounds shot through it the reciever where the clip goes in was starting to crack so I traded it in on a Winchester .270. My 710 shot good, had good groups, the scope was descent for a $300 gun and it fed ok but the bolt would get really rough when the gun would heat up. And I am not talking heated up like 10 shots though it in a minute, I am talking 3 shots through it in 3 minutes. After owning one for myself and several of my friends owning them in various different calibers I think that the gun is an ok buy, but I also think that your money would be better spent on a used rifle or even a Savage.
