Default RE: FF vs Hold...

there are several ways to look at this..... if itsnot broke dont fix it....meanin just because he is mouthin and rollin bumper or buck in its mouth.......tighten up the ob and get his butt in there faster. timin is everythin with any trainin. ff can make or brake a dog....no when to advance, no when to shut down. books and vids dont tell you how to read the dog. you gotta figure it out on your own.The hold is very simple, and 99% done first.......but watch teh dog stop when its done correctly. meanin what you expect from him, the hold from the dog is done correctly. should not have to worry about the ff part....he is doin natural just fine....why ??? Build from the hold.....my opinion only.....the hold is fine unless he is stoppin and droppin, or droppin and goin on, not bringin back to hand. tighten up teh ob with whatever ya do for "here" command. try and eliminate fartin around time.....turn walk the oppisite way....same time saying....dog here!! speed up the return time is what you want to work on......then evaluate couple weeks of this and repost...if not better then go into hold drills. alot of times ob stuff fixes....never know, but you have somethin to start with naturally. instead of force......make sense??
