I am about to move to Texas and my dad's ranch (which will be about 45 minutes away) is covered with them so I plan to start hunting them real soon.

I have been wondering if they put out much a blood trail because of all the fat (I know that if you shoot them with a rifle they do not bleed much - the fat covers the wound). For those of you who have done it - how hard are they to track?
