Now I like you enjoy hunting, and if I were going after a yote with a 50 cal muzleloader - there is no doubt I would go with a 10mm 200 grain bullet. I am also so cheap - so I can not see myself buying Shockwaves or SST's, but I can see spending 12/14 bucks for 100 - 200 grain XTP's. and 12/15 more for a 100 sabots.... That bullet will turn a yote inside out...
I am using 110 grains of T7-2f behind mine - I think Cayugad has shot the same load from his XR.
It is certainly no .17HMR for ballistics but the energy is a ton more... Question, have you tried the 20 grain bullets yet - they are really decent on yotes....
