I went out once last year and had a great time, though none quite came into our setup (two sets almost committed). This time, we had some lookers, but one came down and I shot him. I loosed a feather or two, and we saw him glide down in the cut corn, but two later attempts to find him came up empty. Thinking he might have made it to the woodline, we made one last attempt to locate him, and I found him there in the cut corn. Man those things blend in well!

At 41 I'm a late starter, but am coming to the realization that no matter what kind of hunting I try, I have so much fun I can't wait to do it again! They aren't flying too much right now, but hopefully colder weather will get them up and going good soon.
