Default RE: T/C ShockWave Sabots 200gr. vs. 250gr.

I tried shooting the 200s again this morning.
Used 110 grains of 777 loose. The groups were sorry to say the least. In my gun anyway, I think I would need 100 grains, or less, of 777 for them to work well.

Shot four rounds at 100 yards. 3 of them were in about a 6 inch circle, I don't even know where the fourth one went.

Then, loaded and shot two 250 grainers w/ 110 grains of 777. Exactly 3 inches high and almost touching. Perfect for my gun.

I have a Nikon 4 to 14 power scope and where the crosshair narrows down to the finer cross hair in the center is exactly 3 inches at 100 yards at 14 power. So, at 100 yards or less, the bullet will hit between these two points. At 150, the bullet will hit at the crosshairs and at 200 it hits about double the distance from the crosshair to where the element gets thicker again. Who needs one of those fancy BDCs!!!!

I still do want to find a combo w/ a 200 grain bullet that will work. Maybe a different sabot or bullet/sabot mix.
