Grizzly, no... as there are no "speed" and "smooth" mod options available with the Pinnacle cam. The variance just allows for slightly different nuances in production; some will come off the line faster or slower than others -- simply due to mass production. The range is considered what's acceptable before being let out the door.
If Grizzly was referring to Ryan's original speed range post then I believe it is as large as it is because of differences between Ryan's setup and the advertised specs for the IBO speed rating. I think that was a question I had earlier in this thread.
Now, I have had some time to play with my Black Ice and I must say that I continue to be impressed with it. I have yet to chrono it but that is not my primary interest in the bow. For such a short bow with so much reflex in the riser I was curious as to the accuracy potential of this bow. I have only done limited shooting at this point and at fairly close ranges but I have been able to achieve excellent accuracy levels with little to no additional tuning beyond the initial setup. That speaks volumes to me about the bow's design and overall manufacturing tolerances.
I will reserve further comments until I really get some time with it. I will say this much though, this bow is most definitely going to see some time in our after Christmas bowhunting season.
