Good ole mossberg shoulder tenderizer! I bought one about 7 or 8 years ago and killed the crap out turkey's with it. It patterned pretty good with the factory choke and great with a rhino choke I bought for it. I bought it strickly as a turkey gun. They are a very reliable gun. I've only cleaned mine about 3 times. I did get rid of it this past summer. Ifound a used 870 w/thumbhole stock and they gave me a good deal for trade so I did it.

The only thing about it is due to its light weight, 3 1/2" turkey loads will whoop the snot out of you. When I patterned it about 3 shots was all I could take. It was brutal even with a simms pad on it. 3" was not as bad you could get maybe 4 shots in before you had to get your shoulder put back into socket. I will say its the only gun I've ever shot at an animal and felt it kick me. I took a friend of mine turkey hunting one morning as he was passing through on a business trip. I let him borrow that gun. We had a gob pitch down and come strutting straight to us. He got up to about 15 feet and my buddy squeezed off. The bird went to flopping and I jumped up and ran to him. I turned around to see where steve was and he was laying on his back moaning. He thought the gun had blown up on him. He didn't know what happened. With all that saidit was with out a doubt a turkey slaying machine. Well worth the punishment when an old bird was flopping around out in front of you.
