Joe, I guess the type of carbon does make a differnce. I only have One Acc left, but it draws quiet, not as quiet as the cabelas carbon arrows, but still a bit less noise than the aluminums. Now I have not tried to clean up the aluminums yet, and I am going to wax some to see if that brings the noise down a bit. I honestly don't think the amount of noise the aluminums make is going to cost anyone a deer, but I always strive for a silent draw. With the Shootout you can put mole skin or teflon over the arms to make the draw very quiet. I still have a lot of toying around yet though. My problem really lays more in finding the perfect arrow. One that will get me 475 grns total weight with a 100 grn head and 4" vanes. One that draws quiet, won't cost an arm or and a leg, and that is straight and consistant.
