Stubble - if you look in my earlier post, my idea was to carry a 220 grainer in the chamber for close encounters with big bears and 180 for the rest - I still will. I never paid much attention to 7mm's but I have more respect for those varmit slayers now - thanx! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> You've convinced me...my next gun will be a 300 or 338 mag... <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have shot five grizzers so far - one at 30 yards a few years ago, and this year - three at 150, and one at 300 (all with my camera) while hunting blackies. I don't think I'd want to shoot one with a gun, 'cause I don't think I'd want to eat it... My neighbour did get chewed by a big grizzer boar last fall just up the road, and one was hanging around just up the trail this summer... anyways, bears aren't that hard to shoot, unless you use a bow&gt;&gt;&gt;next year!
