I went through all the same cycles to try to get a second shot off. First I tried Tripple Seven. Crud ring was so bad I stuck the second bullet/sabot about two inches off the powder charge. When I finally pulled the breechplug and knocked the bullet out it took a brass brush to get the crud out. Next I tried Pyrodex select ffg. No posibility of a second shot without a wet swab and then a dry one. After several other blind alley attempts (mostly with different primers including the .25ACP conversion; I finally spent the money for four pounds of Black Mag'3. My Omega loves the stuff. Higher velocity than 777 for same charge, less perceived recoil, less than one minute of angle at 100 yards (most of the time). and three to four shots in a row without a swab between. Killed my last elk with 90gr. Black Mag'3 under a 300gr. Hornady bullet. Some Omega rifles can be very picky. Mine is OK now but I can understand how someone might have given up before finding a solution.
