Default RE: Deer Anatomy REVIEW..

ORIGINAL: Greg / MO

So you're saying that we should put a disclaimer on the front of every page announcing that this forum is only for bowhunters who already know everything?
Of course not........but where does the spoon feeding stop??I don't think ANY of the things I have mentioned is asking too much ofa bowhunter to know.......in fact it is rediculous ifthey don't.

I know, I know... you're going to say that they should already know exactly where all the vitals of a deer lie... Someone else might think you should already know something which you don't, which is plainly obvious to them.
What you are failing to see is that a certain basic knowledge is required to do anything properly. You wouldn't go ripping your computer apart if you had no idea what the parts were........you wouldn't tinker with the brakes on your car if you had no idea what the components were............Would you?? If the answer is no then why would anyone do the same thing with trying to kill a deer with a bow?

You've got to start somewhere, Atlas... and I'm glad this place exists to help those who aren't as knowledeable as you already are.
So am I..........I just wonder what it must look like to an outsider to see a bunch of people who eat, sleep, and crap hunting......basically boast that they LIVE for it...........and then see them reviewing BASIC anatomy of the animal they spend their lives chasing........kinda like seeing Picasso doing a paint by numbers picture.
