I think walking a distance in waders would cause you to sweat. Then when you are wearing them in the stand the sweat will chill causing you to be very cold. If you wear your rubber boots in, carry a changing of socks and leave a pair of boots in a plastic bag on your stand so you don't have to carry them in might work better. Either way if you get sweaty, you are going to get cold.
