RE: most hated tv hunting scenario
I don't like it when they show deer eating shelled corn off the ground and harvesting the deer. Don't like box blinds (just a personal objection). Can't stand the 'canned' shots where the hunter walks up to the deer surprised. (I know they're trying to capture their emotion but most of us know the deer has already been found and every point has been counted. And the no. 1 pet peave I have is when they show the deer falling down or flailing (sp?) aroundafter the shot. The reason I object to this is b/c of the audience that is non-hunting. If they were to flip through the channels and saw this, then I'm sure they partially see hunting in a negative light and believe that us hunters want to see the animal dying right on TV. Don't get me wrong though, that is what happens in reality...I'm just trying to see it through another's eyes.
