get some bcy ml-6 wax. it has silicon, and apply it gently. no vigorous rubbing or getting the string hot while rubbing. when it needs it, apply after shooting and if there is any excess wipe it off before the next time you shoot. this should give the silicon time to seep in to the fibers.
