I have noticed several things,
#1 Shock Wave sabots seem to me to be in the middle between MMP-HPH12 and MMP-HPH24 and they fit my TC barrels the best as the12 is to tight and the 24 is just a little loose. They also shoot the tightest group .80 inch.
Today I worked on the 50/40 200grXTP it shoots best with 110gr APP where as thr 50/40-200gr Shock wave shoots best with either 100gr or 150gr.
The groups are .80 and 1.25 100yd.
#2 the Shock wave 250 gr Shoots best with 125gr APP FF or 130 RS .80 again. The 250gr XTP shoots 1 inch with 100gr with aMMP 12 and .8 with
90grAPP-FF.
# 3 The Big Game .475 won't even stay on the target with anythingI have tried [APP-FF--777---RS] and the .458 are not a hole lot better about 4 to 5 inch groups @100.
# 4 While I dont trust them to hole together I like to know what my options are so while I am not using these loads at the moment I did check them out.Power Belts best load, 245gr copper plated -APP-FF 150 gr group 1.25 inch@POI, the 338 group 2 inch with 100gr 10 inch below POI.
The 250 Sabor Tooth groups 1.5 inch with 150 gr APP-FF @POI

One of the reasons I am posting this is because I have had the impression severel times that some one was trying to get a certain load or bullet to work andI believe that what works for us oldtimers works because we know how to find what the gun likes and then take our choices with in the guns capabilities.
