I got 2 carp and a buff this morning.

I was trying to get mainly carp by stalking up to them in my waders.
The carp were hanging further out than the buffs were. In fact, I was able to get within just a few feet of the buffs serveral times to take 20 and 30 foot shots at the carp.

I was 3 fish for 4 shots until I made the mistake of trying to shoot rolling gar in waist deep water. They were only visible for about a 1/2 second until they dove again. I only took a few shots at them. Ididn't get any,but I did take the opportunity to study how they move since they were often within 20 feet of me. If I was somehow able to bag every gar I saw today, I'd be needing some more stringers since there were well over 100.
