Which hunting shows?
Seems everybody with a decent cam,some willing "hunters" and some sponsors are trying their hand at producing hunting shows. Alot seem to come and go. Some are pretty good and others just plain pound mud.
Which hunting shows are "aired" in your area, which ones do you like more than others, and why?
Let's see the line up here this morning, in NE Illinois, on DishNetwork.......
1.Southern Outdoors Experience.......Not bad at all.
(Good camera work. Hostsaren't so cheesy.)
2. Wild Extremes......I like this one.
(They cover lots of different hunts and don't just show the kill footage.
It gives you more of an idea of the entire hunts.)
3. Southern Backwoods Adventures......
4. Christensen Arms......No thank you.
(Seems kinda cheesy like someone produced just for themselves or
some sort of unique little group.)
5. Hunting Lease Magazine......I have no need for it.
(It just shows property for sale around the country - mostly out west. I
don't have THAT kind of money.)
6. Ranch & Resort Real Estate.....See # 5 above.)
7. Gone Huntin' with Keith & Tony.....I try to catch this one too.
(But either these guys need acting lessons or they took some really
weird ones - LOL.)
8. Journal of the Texas Trophy Hunters.....It's OK.
(But it seems to be the same thing, show after show.)
9. Better Built's World of Outdoors.....I like it.
(Well shot - no pun intended. Good vatiety of hunts.)
10. American Outdoorsman.....Don't think I ever seen it.
11. Tex Mex TV Adventures......I can pass.
(Seems real low budget and low intrest.)
12. Midwest Outdoors Magazine.....I like it.
(It does a good job for me of covering things not too far away that I
could give a try.)
13. Doc's Team Extreme's Big Game Adventures......Haven't seen it.
14. Hunting University......Haven't seen it either.
15. Outdoor Pursuits.......Know I've seen it but can't remember anything.
16. REALTREE, Whitewater's Just Huntin'.......I like it.
(Lots of info on hunting and hunting products.)
17. The World of Hunting......Just BP & arrow hunters and I like it, too.
18. Outdoor Quest......Never seen it.
19. Campell Outdoors Challenge......I like this one probobly the most.
(Actual teams hunting and being scored overall by their harvest and
the quality of video footage shot. One guy hunts the other does
video. It is geared towards giving folks a real idea of what has to
happen to get good hunt video. It doesn't usually happen by chance.
They are based somewhere down in S. IL near my stomping grounds,
but not sure where.)
20. Antler King's Wildlife Advantage......I like it.
(Has good information.)
21. The Art of Deception.....Never seen it.
(Maybe pointers on telling fishing tales? LOL)
