I'll have you know my duct tape space blanket scope cover worked perfect today. When I cleaned the rifle I popped the scope off, and the fowling wiped right off the duce tape as easy as could be. I wiped the rest of the scope off and then layed a thin coat of gun oil on the exposed parts and was good to go. That thing your talking about sounds like a pain. You'd have to remove that to cap the rifle right?

I was not swabbing between shots ... even on the sabots and was loading so fast I heated up the barrel. I wanted to see what effect it would have on accuracy. Boy that rifle loads sabots sweet. Two fingers to set that sabot on the charge, and not once didI have to use my short starter to get the ball rolling. Sure is not Black Diamond XR... No short starter, no shoot!!
