RE: Diamond versus Bowtech
Pinwheel,
Just wanted you to know that your last post is right on! (even though your crystal ball might be a little screwed up <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>).
I for one, appreciate the value of this forum and the knowledgable people like yourself who contribute. It has stimulated me to take a much more active role in setting up my equipment. A couple years ago, I had been shooting for 30 years, but never learned that much about the equipment itself. Now, because of this forum, I have my own bow press, fletching jig, string jig, archery tool box and workshop for this hobby. I do all my own work on my equipment now and I've learned a lot in a short while, and I recognize that I've got a lot more learning to do.

This is probably a problem with the casual reader of these forums, but for someone like myself, who reads them all the time, it's quite easy to take in all the information and to sort the good from the bad. Even when real experts disagree (which they will much of the time), I'm as capable as the next guy to determine which argument makes the most sense. Besides, if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that there are very few absolutes. The right answer often depends on the situation. Also, we often argue decisions that are based more on personal preferences than they are on any scientific studies.
Overall, I believe these forums are beneficial to the sport of both hunting and archery. Like most things in life, you get out of it, what you put into it.
