NyEx, let me explain something to you about archery. If you don't have the time to make sure your equipment is properly tuned to hunting conditions. Then you don't have time to hunt with it, period. I'm not trying to be harsh on you. But the approach your thinking isn't right. You never take a bow into the field until your 100% confident its tuned correctly, and your confident in your abilities with it. Confidence is a major part of proper shooting. You can't question it or your ability, especially at the moment of truth. Your thinking of not having time to tune broadheads & go with some mechanicals to possibly save that problem is the wrong approach all together, and canresult in larger problems, and discouragement for you.
So make the time, or don't go. Shoot your bow & boost your confidence!
Now as far as turkey heads. Mechcanicals happen to be the better heads. Reason being is you want less penetration for turkeys. Its best if your arrow remains in the bird to prevent fly-off. I use NAP Gobblergetters. They are a blunt headed mechcanical. But they are not to be used for any other game. If your looking for a combination head there is a separate piece sold that attaches to the end of the shaft when screw on your broadhead. I can't recall name of it. Game stoppers or something like that But its a small multi bladed piece thats used on small game, as a added punch & to slow penetration.
Some other websights I've used on tuning are:

Good luck!!!
