Recommendations for young son?
My 3 year old has been bugging me about bows for the last month. He sees me shoot mine and wants to shoot it too, but there are obvious problems with a toddler drawing a bow with a 72 lb draw weight.[:-]
The wife and I talked and want to get him a bow for Easter. She wants to get him a cheesey suction cup bow, but I remember having a real bow at that age with cut down wooden arrows. I belong to a club right down the road from me that has a very nice range with a 3-D course along with target butts and I'd like to spend time with my son out there this spring and get him involved with archery.
Anyone have recommendations on a functionable bow that a 3 year old might be able to use? I've seen packaged kid'scompound bows in shops, but have no idea if the draw weight is too high for my son to even begin to pull. I'd prefer a stick bow if possible.
What about arrows- are there any arrows out there specifically for youth shooters?
