Seems like you northern boys just dont like passing up a shot. Us southerners will pass. Why is that ? If I see a big buck that is quartering away hard, I wont take that shot, I just shrug it off and hope to see him another day. But you guys up north will take that shot and hope for the best.

Zrex-I live in upstate New York,I have shot deer with shotgun,rifle and for the last few years,muzzleloader.I have shot them in the chest,shoulder,neck and even the rear.The secret to the rear shot is aim for the tail.You will hit the spine and pass through to the neck.I have passed on a number of shots too.You should not sterotype.I do not do that.Another thing I do not do is shoot deer from a tower stand 30 yds from the feeder.
