RE: .22 LR ballistic tip?
ihave been wonderingthe samething. i thinka light weight ballisticwould be a great idea for a .22 longrifle. next time you are out with your .22 take some .22 shorts with you. like most people you probablyhaveyour .22 sighted in with longrifles at 50 yards or there abouts. now try the .22 shorts. they will hit about 2 inches higher than the longrifle at 50 yards. the reason is the bullet weight gives it a flatterflight. the short has a bullet weight of 19 to 20 grains. this is what makes me believe that a light weight ballistic would shoot very well from a longrifle load. it sure would straighten out the bullets path.
