The crabapples from the state are called toringo crabapples.
Malus toringoides/ Toringo Crab Apple is a Malus species that has 3-7 lobed leaves to 9cm long with creamy-white flowers followed by yellow fruit.
The State also has a "wild apple" which I am not really sure what it is.
Monroe County has sargent crabapples for sale. Here is a link about Sargent crabapples.
