For strictley rabbits & squirrels I like my .410.
I recommend it for an all day/long walk hunting
asthey arelight weight and quick handling. Mine is
a bolt action (1st real gun from Santa many moons
ago) but anything from a single shot, double barrel,
pump or auto loader would work, shooters choice.
Winchester even makes a lever action that looks
alot like the model '94 rifle. I can't help but think
that would make a kid of any age a Merry Christmas.
Oh yeah, I agree with the 6 shot load. Go with the 3".
