We were out doing some drives on Sat. morning w/ the muzzleloader here in Massachusetts. The first drive my brother in law took a nice 5 pointer. The next drive this buck ran by my friend Aaron. He shot and hit it in the leg! It came by me at about 50 yards at a pretty good clip and I flat out whiffed and missed him completely. The deer bled good, but never bedded on Sat. We went back for a long walk on the blood on Sunday and found him dead half eaten by coyotes. They didn't touch the head and shoulders though.
It is his first buck and second deer.
