RE: TC Encore, crush pellets or not is the question?
Tahquamenon,
I didn't give thata thought until now but the particular shots that I'm basing this on was a range rod load that was packed probably to hard in the begining but the following shot was a factory rod in hunting situations that my normal double spit patching between shots was not feasible. This is a strong possiblity. I'm going to try some different powders for grin and giggles with my factory and range rod paying close attention to the depth (marks on rodof course) and pressures etc. My first impression of these pellets is they can leavemore room for error on the side of loading if your trying to maybe get more out of them in the means of accuracy then what they were intended for. Don't get me wrong I sighted in @ 100yards and shot a group of four that were touching and I'm estatic about that but maybe If I'm trying to be as accurate as possible I might want to try sticking with what I know works (loose powder without excessive packing). I purchased some Jim shockeys gold FFFg loose the other day that I'm eager to try so maybe I'll start there.
