I like going to the range except I go first thing in the morning when no one is around.
Bingo! Same here... I have gone to a public range inside one of the nearby Virginia WMA's a few times. Nice place, but man, you gotta get there at
8:00am sharp on a Sunday morning!
I mean, I have seen it get so bad, and so ridiculously crowded, that you can't even get in the parking lot! And there isalong line waiting to get to the stations!
They also have a skeet range nearby and that is wide open, first come first serve. You bring your own clays and thrower. I "tried" to go one time and ended up turning around and going back home. A club ora big group of waterfowl hunters decided to "bogart" the entire range and tie it up for hours and hours!
