Default Sighting in scope

This past weekend I finally found time to do some shooting and sight in the scope I just mounted on my Black Diamond. Before I went I discovered I only had about7 T/C 250 grain Shockwave's left so I headed to WalMart. Guess What Sold Out. They were nearly out of everything. I found a package of powerbelt 295 grain bullets. I figured I could get the scope close with these then fire 1 or 2 rounds of Shockwaves and be ready to go this Saturday when season opens...............Wrong

I had the gun shooting good at 25 then moved out to 100yds and the gun was shooting about 5"low. Made my adjustments and was hitting within an 1" either side of the Bullseye. Close enough for this blind man :-) I then fired two rounds of the shockwaves and never hit the target. I was just using a 8 1/2 x 11 page printed from mytargets.com. I am not a physics major but I would assume I was shooting way high or am I wrong. Does 45 grains of bullet weight make that much difference?

I have since went out of town and bought another box of Shockwaves to use. What is the best way to site this gun in. Start back over at 25yds with the Shcokwaves and then move out? Thanks for the input
