well i have talked to remington and i figured that the proof of purchase stamp or w/e you want to call it would be enough to get the warranty work done but they said they would like to have the receipt. i am going to get back in touch with them (and have my parents do some more looking for the receipt). if they will not cover it i will have the gun looked at and if it is fixable for a decent price i will have it fixed as the gun has shot about 75 rounds and then sell it. i am not going to try and sell a broken gun. i may get it fixed and keep it. i am not sure it depends on whether remington will cover it which i hope they will. if they do then i will pry use the .270 this year and next year get a 308(see then i might be able to get me a .204 ruger ). Also there is a sale going on at a small local gun shop (grand opening) and i seen a few guns in there ad that they had on sale. one was a savage stevens 200. they are selling them for $289. i did some checking and it does not have the accu trigger plus it doesnt come in a 308. i think it comes in 25-06, 270, 30-06, 7mm rem mag, and 300 win mag. what do you guys think of this rifle? the grand opening sale is fri thru sun so i may have to go check it out and see what else they have. thanks guys
