I have a Savage Model 116 in 06 and it shoots 1 - 1.5" groups. It also has a Burris Fullfield II scope. If you want more power than the 06 I would try the 300 WSM or 7MM WSM if you want a 7mm. Just make sure the recoil is manageable. The Savage is a good bang for your buck choice as is the Weatherby Vangard. I always try toby American ifit is a tossup, and would pick the Savage.
